On September, 24, you'll have the unique chance to plunge into Venetian everyday life as well as into its splendid festivities. Just for one day this wonderful and magical city will "move" to Tsarskoye Selo and present its history, traditional crafts, music, dances and, of course, its marvellous carnival.

In front of the Catherine's Palace there will be a noisy Venetian fair with street performances, shoemakers, lace-makers, gondoliers, and famous Murano glassblower workshops. All these crafts will be presented by the best Venetian masters. Guests can watch their work and even try to blow glass themselves.

Inside the palace guests will dip into the atmosphere of the real Venetian Ball of the 18th century. The entertainment program will be organized according to the traditional Venice ball model with some sketches performed by Italian artists. The menu of the gala-dinner will be offered by a famous Venetian chef. There will be also a dance teacher from Venice who will teach Venetian dances with guests.

Close to midnight grandiose fireworks will be lit. After that guests will be invited for a dessert and dancing in the night.

The carnival is a charitable event. Dress code: Fancy dress (absolutely obligatory)

You'll have the opportunity to change your image totally and even to appear incognito, as the main attribute of the carnival is a masque, which hides your face.
